Looking for a fun and engaging way to review basic concepts related to area and perimeter? Well, this is it!
I Have, Who Has? is a HIT in my classroom. ALL of my students (past and present) have loved I Have, Who Has. I use it in both ELA and math as much as I can because it's a great way to assess student learning while they have a blast. They don't even realize they are "doing work!"
Common Core Aligned
4.MD.3: Apply the area and perimeter formulas for rectangles in real world and mathematical problems. For example, find the width of a rectangular room given the area of the flooring and the length, by viewing the area formula as a multiplication equation with an unknown factor.
This would be ideal in a 4th grade classroom, but can be used in grade 3 as a challenge, and grade 5 as a review.
