Area & Perimeter Robots
This fun, performance-based math activity allows students to creatively apply their understanding of area and perimeter by creating robots based on given measurements of area and perimeter.
This activity can be used as a math center, guided lesson, or small group activity.
Three versions of the activity are included (with measurements of only perimeter, only area, or both) along with graph paper. However, another option is for students to measure the area and perimeter with rulers onto plain construction paper as depicted on the cover. I have always given my students the choice of using graph paper or rulers, and both have been successful.
