Here is a fun way to learn and build skills using area and perimeter. I used a fun graphic your students should recognize right away. You may have heard them called "building bricks". There are 48 task cards in all, 24 of each area and perimeter. The challenge of the task varies from finding the perimeter or area of a simple rectangle to comparing the areas or perimeters of two buildings.
I know every class won't be working on the same skill at the same time, so I set up 3 different recording sheets, 1 with only the perimeter cards, 1 with the area cards, and 1 with all three.
If you like these, make sure you follow the store because I'm working on some interactive Power Point lessons, interactive worksheets and notebooking pages, and some quick print-and-go sheets for practice, all with this fun building brick theme!
