This product contains 21 task cards featuring area and perimeter problems accompanied by pictures. Each task requires students to solve it not only by using their area or perimeter related skills, but also by applying the Pythagorean Theorem.
The tasks include all kinds of well-known and lesser- known problem types, and feature regular polygons, unique shapes, irregular figures, figures inside grids, as well as interesting real-life problems.
This set can be used just to practice area and perimeter skills, or as a part of a Pyramid game. For the game, students can be divided into teams or work individually. The goal of the game is to join all three sides of a pyramid together as soon as possible, by using the right answers from the relevant tasks. To succeed students will have to plan out a good strategy and carefully choose the task cards they will solve. Whichever team or student manages to join tree sides together first is the winner.
