Are you after some quick, simple and fun activities to help your students review area? These free area task cards are excellent to use as part of a math center, for individual practice or even to send home for consolidation.
There are 12 cards that all include the area in square units. Students are required to work out the area of some of the shapes as well as draw their own shapes with a particular area. Some of the cards also introduce the idea of half units.
These cards can be photocopied in grayscale to give to your students. Or you can print and laminate them and they can be completed with a dry erase marker.
There are many ways you can use these area task cards, including:
