Need a fun Pi Day activity? Activity to practice area and circumference of circles? This fun scavenger hunt is just what you’re looking for! Print out the images of circular objects such as doughnuts, pizzas, beach balls and more. Each picture is labeled with a radius or a diameter. Post them around your room and your students go on a scavenger hunt to find the right item, such as “An edible item with a circumference of 28 cm” or “An object that makes noise with an area of 13 sq. cm.”.
Note: The pictures for the scavenger hunt are in color to be printed. Also, many of the item for the scavenger hunt are 3-D items such as basketballs, even though students are asked to find area and circumference.
