I have a 14 year old student who is at a far lower level of ability than the rest of the class and so have had to adapt work for her. She needs to be able to handle materials and to repeat exercises in order to build some memory of it.
I thought I'd upload these resources while I am making them for her.
This little exercise involves cutting out squares and putting them back together, counting squares for area and counting the "edge bits". (She always counts the inside lines as well which is why I have put some counting into the examples.)
It's all black and white... no cute, fancy graphics but the work is effective :)
