This is a 3 station lab that covers real life examples for Area and Perimeter. The first station asks students to find the area and perimeter of a house and then rooms of the house. They then find rugs in magazines and find the area and the cost per square foot of the rug. Station two is asking you to find how many feet of fencing you need for your dog pen and how many feet of sod to cover the back yard. Station 3 students are using string and graph paper to investigate how many different shapes they can make using that one piece of string. They then find the area and perimeter of those shapes.
