A fun, interactive way for students to practice creating shapes with a given area and determining the perimeter of shapes. Students will roll a created dice to determine the area of the shape the will need to make. They then build the shape on a grid square, and finally solve for the perimeter of that same shape.
Students love rolling the dice and using color to create their own shapes. This activity challenges students too! If they roll the same area for a second time they must determine a different way to make a shape with the same area.
