This is a reference sheet with area formulas the rule for finding perimeter. This is a great tool for students to keep and refer to throughout a unit on area and perimeter! Students love having it as a guide while they learn and it looks great if copied on a sheet of brightly colored paper! This is also helpful to use as a reference when teaching volume.

The following formulas are included on this reference sheet:
--Area of a parallelogram
--Area of a triangle
--Area of a trapezoid
--Area of a circle
--Circumference of a circle
--How to find perimeter (generally)

Additionally, each formula also has a picture of the shape with important lengths labeled (base, height, radius, etc.).

Solve real-world and mathematical problems involving area, volume and surface area of two- and three-dimensional objects composed of triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, cubes, and right prisms.
Know the formulas for the area and circumference of a circle and use them to solve problems; give an informal derivation of the relationship between the circumference and area of a circle.
