Need some fun activities to help your students practice area and perimeter?
I created these task cards and craftivity to help my students practice Area and Perimeter.
I used a little acronym to help my students remember which side was the the base and which side the height was. For base, we came up with Bagged Lunch (Base=Length), and for width, we came up with HomeWork (Height=Width). This really seemed to help them remember which side was which.
- 20 perimeter Task Cards
- 20 area Task Cards
- Perimeter recording sheet
- Area recording sheet
- Answer Keys
- Printer friendly option for both sets of task cards
- Dream House step-by-step directions
- Dream House specification sheet
- Graph paper
- Student Examples
- Teacher Example
I personally used the task cards and the Dream House craftivity at two different centers. My students absolutely LOVED creating their dream house, and I really enjoyed seeing what rooms they each put in their house.
