Area of Trapezoid, Triangle, Parallelogram/Rhombus Interactive Notes Activity
A fun and interactive way for students to take and memorize notes. Add a bright card stock color for the first page and notes will not get lost in that crazy folder :) These notes are broken up to help understand the area of trapezoid, triangle, parallelogram and rhombus. Also, included is an example page for students to practice the formula as well. There are different pages for you to decide on how you would like to use them with your students. All students work differently and this resource allows you to customize for your students. There is a first page with vocab words, full page with all notes, fill in the blank notes, completed examples and blank examples. The suggested directions give you a 3 layer notes activity with tips for 2 layers (vocab, notes and examples), but again - you choose how many you would like to use. Area of Triangles Color By Number Activity
Time to practice area of a triangle? Check out this adorable color by number activity! The activity focuses only on area of a triangle when given base and height. Plenty of room within the activity to show work - answers need to be rounded the nearest tenth if necessary. Complete only the problems or have fun and add the coloring component, kids will love :)

Area of Trapezoid Maze Activity
Time to practice area of a trapezoid? A fun maze activity will is here! Students can answer all the problems or follow the correct answers to get from 'Start' to 'End' correctly. Answers that do not come out even, are rounded to the nearest tenth. Finding area of trapezoids became a little bit more fun with the added maze activity!

Area of Geometrical Shapes Chain Reaction Activity
Practice finding area of parallelogram shapes - rectangle, square & rhombus along with triangles and trapezoids! A great self-check activity that has 20 problems for students to solve. The activity can be done individually, in pairs or set up as a station activity too. When students have completed all problems, they can tape or glue the problem strips into a chain reaction activity. Add to your classroom decor your students work! Area of Composite Figure Domino Activity
Students ready to start combining more than one shape and find the area of a composite figure? This activity is the one to practice with! Students can start at ANY problem and connect their pieces like dominoes. Each problem has at least two shapes (triangle, parallelogram, trapezoid and circle) to form a figure. Students will use the lengths and clues within the problems to find the area of the composite figures. Perfect self checking activity! Have students glue them onto a large piece of construction paper and display their work in the room!

Quadrilateral Family Tree Cut and Paste Activity
Looking for a resource to help your students understand how geometrical shapes are organized?! This is great activity that allows students to organize the name of the name if geometrical shape, geometrical shape and a small description of the geometrical shape into a flowchart. Start with the quadrilateral and organize it into trapezoid, kite and then parallelogram shapes - rectangle, rhombus and square. This version is NOT editable! It does come in a black/white version or a colored version as well. There are a few options that are included and you can decide which will be better to present to your students - a completed version or have students to complete the cut and paste activity.

Area of Geometrical Shapes Hole Punch Game
Everyone loves to play a game, right? This is a perfect, easy set up game - all you need is a hole punch! Have students work alone (preferably), pairs or more and complete the 10 problems. When they complete the problems, they have two chances to get the answer correct. Depending on how many chances the student took will determine how many hole punches they get. Details of how the game is played are included in the download. These problems use decimals for the side lengths. There is enough space in the squares that students have to use as a work area, but if not a blank work space page is provided. There is a great variety of problems. A great resource to use as a quick assessment over finding the area of geometrical shapes. Best part, print ready activity! Purchase, download, make copies and hand out to students :)
