Most students just accept equations and theorems as a given in math. But, in many cases, the theorems and equations are just an extension of what they already know or have previously studied. So, they are quite capable of discovering them on their own, given some guided instruction.

In this exercise, when you move a point, a new triangle is formed. This allows the student to create several unique triangles of their choosing. Geogebra

Through step-by-step discovery process worksheets, students uncover the details/ideas behind both the equation to determine area of a triangle given base and height and the equations to determine area given two sides and the enclosed angle.
