Product Description
The ISN notes for this product reflect the mini-lesson that I developed to help students understand proportional reasoning. I've included pictures of part of the activity in my classroom and the notes we completed after the lesson concluded. My kiddos showed good progress in understanding proportional thinking after guiding them through the discussion.

TEKS 6.4B The student is expected to apply qualitative and quantitative reasoning to solve prediction and comparison of real-world problems involving ratios and rates.

TEKS 6.6A The student is expected to identify independent and dependent quantities from tables and graphs.
TEKS 6.6B The student is expected to write an equation that represents the relationship between independent and dependent quantities from a table.
TEKS 6.6C The student is expected to represent a given situation using verbal descriptions, tables, graphs, and equations in the form y = kx or y = x + b.
