Areas of Knowledge - this is the third in a series of three PowerPoint presentations designed to introduce the components of The Theory of Knowledge. This particular presentation along with the printable workbook looks at the range of disciplines outlined in the areas of knowledge. Mathematics and the sciences with their logical approaches have been contrasted to the Religious and Indigenous Knowledge Systems. The scientific method is viewed in conjunction with approaches taken in the arts and history and this is rounded out with the ethical considerations that emerge with knowledge. Each slide has a sound track and the color and movement engages as do the YouTube links that have been chosen for relevance. Much of the foundation work in preparing for the subject has been done and this should serve to complement the areas of interest and the material brought to class by the ToK teacher.
