Product Description

This product focuses on a specific topic for argumentative writing: school safety policies. The activity is called "Walk the Line." Students will do the pre-discussion section of the worksheet requiring them to think through each side of the argument, then at the end they will reflect on how their opinions changed (or didn't) while listening to their peers. During the discussion, students will be presented with controversial/argumentative statements that they must agree or disagree with. Depending on your class size, you can create a "line" down the middle of the room separating the "agree's" from the "disagree's". Students can then go back and forth discussing their points of view!
