Students will conduct research through the use of videos viewed in class to obtain background on the pros and cons of allowing the CIA or government agency to hack into private smart phones, smart televisions, or electronic devices without the consent or knowledge of the owner of the devices. Video and article links are provided. After taking notes on the videos and article,students will be required to conduct additional research to obtain information to write an argument essay with cited evidence from these sources. The information obtained can also be used for a class debate. This process supports state testing requirements for argument essay writing with citing evidence from multiple sources.
