My argument resources file includes all the PowerPoints I made starting from the "argument organizer" to the "rough draft organizer", 1st & 2nd Rough Draft and the Final Draft. I also included the grading rubric, which includes grading information for a counter argument and rebuttal (currently we require for honors students only), a rough draft organizer student hand out, and an argument organizer. The argument resources document is a series of resources for the students including sentence starters for each section (hook, claim, etc...), transitions, and a peer editing guide.
Following marking the text for 3 different articles centered on a guiding question, students fill in the argument organizer to organize their ideas and evidence. This is followed by a socractic seminar. After the socratic seminar, students first complete the rough draft organizer in a step-up-to-writing fashion. After, they write their rough drafts which are peer edited before typing and submitting their final drafts in google classroom. All PowerPoints and resources are numbered in the order they are used in the classroom.
