Product Description
This four page assignment requires students to read 4 sample introduction paragraphs and annotate the structure of the paragraph, including the topic sentence/attention grabbing opening (hook), background about the topic (both sides of the issue), and the claim/thesis.

Students are then asked to compose their own introduction paragraphs about three different topics with information that is provided. The topics are:

Should the United States increase the minimum wage?
Are video games dangerous?
Should students be required to wear school uniforms?

Students are reminded to use the same introduction paragraph structure as they annotated on the previous page.
