This product includes teacher instructions, article, worksheet, and comment sort for an activity teaching students about relevant/irrelevant evidence. Students will read a short article about the recent Katy Perry American Idol kiss issue and then they will sort the comments that readers left on the article. Students will have to decide if the comments are logical and relevant or if they are illogical and irrelevant. Students have a great time with the activity because the information is fresh and the comments are real. We are using this activity as an introduction to our argument unit.
