Combine writing arguments with the research process in this project about owl conservation. Students research endangered owls and various conservation methods to write an argument on which method is the best.
Students also cite sources and create a Works Cited page in MLA format, use graphic organizers to evaluate online articles, and create a new product (brochure, origami visual, or poem) integrating their information.
Included are a project overview, project instructions, a rubric for the products, and links to the articles. You can use this as a final assessment on argumentative text, or as a springboard to teach the research process.
