Using the song "Satisfied", from the musical Hamilton, students will learn about the structure of an argumentative speech, and then take a stance for or against a character's decision to write their own essay. Students will go through the writing process using some guiding outlines that are sure to help them get their ideas together.
The teacher may decide to extend this lesson with a debate to really polish student's argumentative skills.
