Arirang paints a musical picture that captures the mystical mood of the hills and forests of Korea. Gentle mallet parts are combined with unique percussive sounds to represent forest elements. This work gives young students a chance to explore how sounds can paint a musical picture. When included in a concert program, Arirang can be a tranquil contrast to up tempo Orff works. For grades 5 or 6. Includes full score, parts, and instructional notes. **This arrangement is also included in the collection, "Great Big House and Other Folk Songs"
