This is a narrative writing performance task that follows the novel "Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe." It includes:

- an LGBTQ history timeline (necessary for the task; this task can work well as a cross-curricular unit with social studies)

- a description of the assignment. This assignment assesses knowledge of characterization, story structure, conflict, and point of view, but can easily be adjusted for other needs)

- a graphic organizer to assist students in preparing to write

- a student-friendly checklist to ensure they have achieved all expectations
