Textbook vocabulary lists did not always have a sufficient quantity or variety of terms that I or my students wanted in order to build and expand ideas. Too often the activities were for rote memory exercises, not flexible for adapting to real-world conversations. For this reason I developed my own glossaries and let the students choose the vocabulary that had meaning beyond the textbook exercise. I would then select appropriate grammar for their level and use the textbook as a support tool.
As always, Maestra Mapache has first created these activities and used in her own classroom. Secondly these activities are designed with terminology in order to be adaptable to any of your lesson units. Every effort has been made to ensure that all vocabulary is common usage however since language evolves rapidly, please share your feedback and suggestions for newer expressions.
This vocabulary sheet may be purchased individually and coordinates with my other Town and City thematic products. In the future will be available as a bundle with dialogue activities.
