Art is ... Lots of Halloween Spooky Activities (6 Pages)
Materials: Copies, Crayons, Scissors, 9x12 Construction Paper
Generally, for the coloring pages there are no directions. Go over the page with the students and see what suggestions they have for coloring.

NOTE: You will need a pattern for each student.
One page will make two patterns.
Plus, you will need one small 9x12 construction paper for each student to fold in half-hamburger style, for the bat pattern.
Cut out bat pattern on outline (do not cut dotted line),
Place bat pattern on fold, make sure dotted lines are ON THE FOLD. trace
Cut out traced pattern.
Use a hole punch to make a hole, then attach a yarn and hang up.
Artists' work is referenced above. Other photos, artist pictures are used in accordance with Fair Use in Education. The photos will enhance the students' understanding of creating art, coloring and using one's imagination.
Materials are any Drawing materials, so anything goes. This is a process, so allow students time and freedom to explore their imaginations.
Open Ended, is usually a student directed process, where they can draw their feelings, emotions, reactions to the art work in the blanks provided. They can choose to copy the designs, outlines the shapes/forms, or even just draw one aspect. Open ended is not assessed and there is no right or wrong.
