I compiled these worksheets for my K-5 art students to use after watching one of the "Dropping In On..." artist series. The video runs about 20 minutes so the worksheet is perfect for the last 10 minutes of class.
The "Dropping In On.." series is written by Pam Stephens and animated by Jim McNeill.
7 of the artists are from the actual "Dropping in on..." series, and I added one more artist.
1. Andy Warhol
2. Grandma Moses
3. Grant Wood
4. Henri Matisse
5. Romare Bearden
6. Pablo Picasso
7. Henri Rousseau
and I added
8. Georgia O'Keefe, American Artist
Six of the Open-Ended Artist Worksheets are designed to be completed with only colored markers and crayons.
Henri Matisse's needs small pieces of construction paper, glue and scissors.
Romare Bearden's needs magazine pictures, glue and scissors for the collage.

NOTE: Open Ended, is usually a student directed process, where they can draw their feelings, emotions, reactions to the videos/art work in the blanks provided. They can choose to copy the designs, outlines the shapes/forms, or even just draw one aspect. Open ended is not assessed and there is no right or wrong. Just encourage active participation in some form without explicit instructions.
