This is fun and engaging activity to do with students when you are teaching art criticism. I google crime scene images and display them on the projector for the class to see. I have my students work in small groups and instruct each group to turn in one worksheet. After every crime scene I have the students talk about what they see in the images. They love to imagine themselves as detectives and get really into this activity. I explain to them how art criticism and the ability to pay attention to detail and interpret can help them in any job they wish to pursue.
