Looking for a new way for your students to talk about art? I often struggled with ways to get my students to critique art. This is just what my students needed! This packet has 15 kid-friendly questions to get your students critiquing art like a pro! All you need is a tri-fold presentation board and a clothespin.
I recommend choosing 4-6 questions that best fit the piece of art you have chosen and attach the questions to the small panels of the board while the Art is in the middle of the board. This packet includes a handout with areas for 6 responses. Each question is on it's own colorful page and each has a subject, the question to be answered, and then some helpful hints to get students on the right track. Perfect for my upper elementary students. On the tri-fold board my student use this as an early finisher activity that can easily be set up and taken down when class is over.
-- Intro and How to Set Up Instructions
-- Numbers 1-6 to put beside each question
-- 15 Questions (each have hints and helpers for students)
-- One blank page for you to make your own question
-- Handout with space for 6 responses
A few of the question subjects are: Line, Pattern, Composition, Subject, Contrast, and Unity- just to name a few!
This has really been helpful in my classroom and I hope you and your students will enjoy it too! Please email me with any questions or concerns!
