This is a super fun, super engaging observational drawing project of APPLES!
Each student gets their own apple given to them (I buy loads of colours and kinds) and they label their apples so they can always find it for the 3 days they work on this project.
(I actually go apple picking to get them for cheap :) and the students get a kick out of this - that I picked them myself!)
They're asked to do
-a value pencil drawing of the apple
-a coloured pencil drawing of the apple
-a "choose your own adventure" artwork of it - they can use ANY materials, and do whatever they want based off their apple.
(some do printmaking, cut the apple in half, collage, do a hatching drawing etc)
These triptychs turn out awesome - and engages every student because they all like different styles of drawing - and this can use them all.
Also included is a rubric to make marking easy and clear.
