This calendar activity can be used in many different ways. I am using it this year as a Holiday gift for the parents. The students draw a picture at the top relative to each calendar month and a picture of themselves for the cover. I put the whole year on a spiral binder and the parents have a lovely calendar with a whole year of their child's art. It also could be used in the classroom each month for making the monthly calendar. There is a comprehension page each month where students can find dates and the days of the week they land on.It makes a wonderful culmination project for the end of the year if you save each month and bind together at the end of the year to showcase their artwork and how they have grown and changed. For older students, they can write notations at the top for special activities and projects each month and mark on the calendar when each activity is due or takes place. Each month has two different looking calendars to choose from and different ways to write the numbers, dotted lines, blank squares. or numbers already written in. Many choices. Great way to show your students art.
