This is a complete package of the Elements of Art Cube Final Project.
I used this project with my high school classes as a final project at the end of the year, but it could also be easily taught to middle school students.
In this Unit, Students make a 3D Cube out of poster board or heavy paper, and each of the 6 sides represents on of the 6 Elements of Art. Each side should hold a work of art that shows an Element of Art that is organized by a Principle of Design.
The package comes with:
•Unit Plan including standard
•Daily Lesson plans including objective to be posted as well as daily homework (to be completed in sketchbook--check out my store for how to create handmade sketchbooks with your students!)
•Student handouts for brainstorming, setting up and assembling their project
•Student requirement sheets that relate to the rubric
•Rubric for final projects.
All files are either word docs or .pdf files
This is one of my favorite projects of the year, that mixes 2D and 3D work. Each student designs their own sides to the cube so they all end up very unique. We used to hang them in the hall at the end of the year above everyone's head!
