Mary Cassatt, Edgar Degas, Paul Gauguin. This presentation will introduce these three impressionist painters to your class. There are "ten things you should know" about each of them, as well as a single important work to sketch during class. A SmartBoard is helpful in a quiet focused class sketching exercise. If you introduce them one day at a time and allow time to view other images on-line students may come to recognize these great masters. Included is a 25 mark quiz, with questions and images to identify. An answer key is included in this 21 page presentation. After this study, students are to create a painting in the Impressionistic style of these masters.
(It was a PowerPoint, but somehow uploading it changed the display. I have now posted it as a PDF to see if that helps.)
