This editable Microsoft Word document includes three 45-minute lesson plans accompanied by printable student activities. Each lesson plan was written using RTII strategies and a place to incorporate your common core or state standards.
For the extremely busy teacher in mind, and being required to write lessons for daily activities, these full LP’s also include the following section content: A Materials List Section, An Activating Strategy (Intro) Section, A Content Section, A Summarizing Activity Section, An Accommodations and Modifications for Special Needs Students Section, as well as a Teacher Assessment Section.
Lesson #1 Objective:
Given the attached Paul Cézanne reading/writing packet, students will read a short excerpt on Cézanne’s life as an artist, and answer the questions given with the packet. Upon finishing the reading/writing assignment, students will peer grade each other’s papers.
Lesson #2 Objective:
Using the Paul Cézanne student reading/writing packet, the Instructor will engage the class in a discussion regarding Georgia O’Keefe’s works of art. This class discussion will also include a critiquing session based on one or more of O’Keefe’s works shown in the student’s reading/writing packet.
Lesson #3 Objective:
Given the oral instruction from the Instructor, students own art kits and sketch-books, and the attached grading rubric, students will recreate their own art using similar styles and techniques that Paul Cézanne used in his paintings.
