What's Included In Art History for Elementary 2?

As a classroom teacher of over 20 years, I have designed these lessons to be successful with regards to time constraints, budget constraints, and with lots of literacy content to integrate literacy and art.

You will find:

  • teacher read-aloud scripts so you do NOT need any background in art history - just turn to page one and start reading - no prep!

  • minimal supply lists for the very few supplies needed with a school's limited budget in mind. We can still create spectacular art with very few supplies!

  • Reflect and Review pages to add literacy components when thinking about the art and artist's ideas

  • Student examples of finished art (photos)

  • 3 different art projects for EACH of the ten artists (30 lessons!)

  • Step by step instructions with over 150 photos

  • coloring pages of famous art work for early finishers

  • mini-books with fill in the blank vocabulary and geography tasks

  • word searches for early finishers with relevant vocabulary

  • directed drawing pages relating to each of the famous art work

  • suggested search terms so you can provide visual examples of famous work to students. Simply do a web search using the key words provided and choose images.
