This is a great, easy, FUN activity that I usually do during the first week of art class because it really requires no materials (just normal paper/pencils or pens) and it gets the students interacting with each other and being super creative.
There's a little blurb about surrealism and the game at the top, and of course Dalhi (I try to sneak some art history in there whenever possible).
Then they just turn the handout over and PLAY on the blank side of the paper!
-It works well if you get them to fold the paper into 3 or 4 squares
-They draw only the top box, but the key is to get them to extend it a bit into the next square, just a bit
-This person folds it over, and passes it to the next person who continues the second box and so on....
They enjoy it :) and I usually post them in the classroom for a while because they get really wild.
