• Page 2: Step-by-step picture tutorial and directions
Simply print out the game and picture directions back-to-back, give them dice, and watch them have fun creating their own Henri Matisse collage.
You will create an Henri Matisse style collage by rolling the die and collecting the different parts required to create it. The first two rolls will determine which background pieces you’ll draw. The third roll will decide which dancing figure you’ll place on top of the background shapes. The fourth roll will give you a natrual element to include. And the last roll is a fun, free-form shape to overlap. Draw and cut them all out. Then cut out some large rectangle and square shapes. Lay these down first over a sheet of paper. Arrange your two background shapes. Then place your three remaining cut outs. Balance out your colors. Consider using both the positive and negative cut outs in your design. Glue everything down.
