Introduce your high school students to the art of rustprinting. Everything you need to get started is included in this bundle. You will receive three professionally formatted, user-friendly lesson plans. Each one includes relevant visual art standards, objectives, resources, supply list, anticipatory set, and lesson procedures (input, guided instruction, independent practice and closure). Interdisciplinary connections and differentiations are also noted where applicable.
In addition to the unit plans, you will receive a two-sided handout of popular stitches that can be used to embellish the work, a student-friendly step-by-step assignment sheet, and a rubric for the studio portion of the lesson. You will also receive the full color Powerpoint presentation which gives a significant art historical connection through Warhol & Pollock.
This lesson has been classroom tested in my high school "Contemporary Crafts" course but could be easily modified for middle school or general art classes. While I used bleach, I have heard vinegar also works well. Please do not hesitate to contact me before or after the sale with any questions. I’d love to see your results and hear feedback on what you liked or changed about the plans.
