Simply print out the game and picture directions back-to-back, give them dice, and watch them have fun creating their own Hmong jar.
You will create a Hmong-inspired vase by rolling the die and collecting the different parts required to put it together. Fold your paper in half and draw half of a vase on one side of your paper. Then roll the die to select a creature symbols (rolls #1 and #2). The next two rolls of the dice will be for nature symbols (rolls #3 and #4). Roll the die once more to pick a fun extra. Draw your symbols on the same side of your paper as the vase. Repeat and group the shapes to make interesting patterns. Trace over all your lines heavy and dark. Close the paper back on the fold and push hard with your pencil on the back so the design transfers from one side of the paper to the other. Use brightly colored paints to color your design making sure to paint it using symmetry. Go over all your lines with a permanent marker.
