This two-week fun seasonal lesson starts with a reading of “Snow Happy to Be Here” byCheryl Hawkinson and Illustrated by Mike Esberg.
You will receive two professionally formatted lesson plans. Each scripted plan includes relevant national visual art standards, objectives, supply list, anticipatory set, and lesson procedures (input, practice and closure).
This lesson is a collage in the style of Giuseppe Arcimboldo using ideas presented in the book as a jumping off point. Lesson files provided as word docs so that you may update to suit your teaching style or district requirements. There is a technology component suggested if you have access to iPads. There is a worksheet for completing the comparison activity. Several step by step photos are included to share with students or for your own reference.
