Introduce your elementary students to the element of line with this fun seasonal lesson. This 2 day lesson can easily extend to 3 if you have the students design and create a beaded ornament hook.
Main topics covered are: Line weight & direction. Using line to express feeling. Implied line and negative space.
Everything you need to get started is included in this bundle. You will receive two professionally formatted lesson plans. These scripted lesson plans follow the Elements of Effective Instruction Model. Each plan includes relevant national visual art standards, objectives, supply list, anticipatory set, and lesson procedures (input, practice and closure). Teacher tips, interdisciplinary connections, differentiations and extensions are also noted where applicable.
I have included step by step photographs on one page to print for each table or to display on your chalkboard or include with your sub plans. If you prefer to show steps via powerpoint, you can create one using the individual step by step color photos. You’ll receive the worksheet that I use with my students. Lesson files provided as word docs so that you may update with your own district benchmarks or required elements (National & Pennsylvania are included)
