Introduce your elementary students to printmaking with this fun fall lesson. This 3 day lesson is based around pop art and the work of John Clem Clarke with suggestions for extending to a fourth day if needed.
Everything you need to get started is included in this bundle. You will receive three professionally formatted lesson plans. These scripted lesson plans follow the Elements of Effective Instruction Model. Each plan includes relevant visual art standards, objectives, supply list, anticipatory set, and lesson procedures (input, guided instruction, independent practice and closure). Interdisciplinary connections, differentiations and extensions are also noted where applicable.
I have included a suggested image for discussion with basic details, as well as a newspaper article about the artist. There is also a snapshot of the sketch, printing plate, and two sample prints included. It’s a great project to use up paper scraps and scraps of Styrofoam trays.
Lesson files provided as word docs so that you may update with your own district benchmarks or required elements.
Please do not hesitate to contact me before or after the sale with any questions. I’d love to see your results and hear feedback on what you liked or changed about the plans.
