Create your own Currency Art lesson is an interdisciplinary lesson that allows the student to have full creative control over a project that leads through an engaging lesson on visual storytelling through symbolism. Students will learn about world currency.
The educator can use this lesson to compare and contrast U.S. currency with currency from other countries. The flexibility and variety of this lesson allows for students with a variety of interests to gain creative confidence and to solve a creative problem.
Students will need to make various creative decisions regarding his or her country and each project will be unique, based on the resources and makeup of the imaginary country. Sharing the creative concepts through a journal assignment or presentation would be an excellent follow up to this art project.
