In this easy-to follow, detailed lesson we learn about artist Paul Cezanne while making beautiful, though surprisingly easy, chalk pastel lemons. This versatile project can be done at nearly any age and can be done literally with any fruit or vegetable by applying the same concepts. The colors students end up choosing are always amazing. These make great for artwork to put on cards or prints as gifts. There is also a video lesson available using pears as an example in our shop.
This lesson is part of our Art with the Masters curriculum series, though the art lesson may be used on its own as well. Every Art with the Masters lesson is complete with a biography on the artist, step-by-step written instructions with accompanying photos, and critical thinking questions to guide your students in learning beyond the art lesson itself.
