I have the students read each description of the three different careers. They will then decide which career is most appealing to them. They will move to the given group and can begin their projects. I gave them options to work as a pair in the architect group because that project is a bit more extensive than the others. This was an excellent end of the year project that kept everyone extremely busy and distracted.
Once everyone chose a group I went to them individually and described the project in their small group.
