Product Description
This art sub plan requires little to no prep. If you want your art lesson plan to include art history as well as the creation of original, individual work, this plan is for you. This art sub lesson is based on the Pop Art houses of James Rizzi. The PowerPoint slides depict and describe a basic definition of Pop Art; show James Rizzi's painted buildings; instruct how to draw your own Rizzi style house, and suggest how to achieve good craftsmanship in the drawing.

The only supplies the students need are paper, pencil and crayon. The lesson is suitable for all elementary grades. I have taught it, as a sub lesson, in kindergarten through fifth grade and it has kept the students fully engaged.

Art sub plans are no fun to write to write. That is why I have created these PowerPoint lessons for art subs. All you have to do with these is to download them and they are ready to go.

This lesson may be used as a regular PowerPoint that is projected or it may be printed out and shown to a class sitting on the floor nearby.

It is totally scripted so that a teacher, art sub or classroom teacher, only has to read the information on each slide and ask the questions. The directions and visuals are there and teachable whether or not the teacher has art experience or talent.
