Inspire your students with art influenced by Wassily Kandinsky, Piet Mondrian and Australian Aboriginal Art. While it will inspire, this video (approximately 3.5 minutes), is soothing and relaxing with instrumental jazz. It is great for use during transitional times, for special education and art classrooms. In addition, not only are students watching art and listening to music that's calming, there are various movements within the video where students will see art as entertaining, challenging them to view art in a new form because the works are manipulated with technology.
This video is suitable for any grade level, from pre-k to high school.
Art Therapy I will calm the classroom and students will become focused on what is displayed on the ActivBoard. The art is vibrant and can be a great time to use prior to students going into another content area, as well as prior to going to art class, which exposes them to fine art in the classroom.
Use Art Therapy I to insert in presentations as an introduction to artistic styles, for reviews and overall, bringing the classroom to order. It's a great way to enhance lessons on abstract art, color theory and patterns.
Students can watch Art Therapy I individually or as a class. The music has a calming effect as the art moves across the screen, stimulating the mind with abstract works.
You can also check out the Art Therapy II Video, with more great music and visuals.
