This is a 10-minute student-lead game structure. The Art Vocabulary Game is a two-part race. Race one is to list all the vocabulary terms the students as a group can recall in 3 minutes. Students yell out terms as volunteer students write the terms on the board. Race 2 is to define all the listed terms in 7 minutes. Students self organize to figure out how to win this race. All students get the same grade for this race/quiz. Using this technique tripled the number of vocabulary terms that students used in the class critiques.
