PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This worksheet teaches the student about Balance, symmetrical, asymmetrical, and radial balance. The artworks introduced are: Jan Vermeer's Donna con bilancia, The Rose Window of the Notre Dame Cathedral by Jean De Chelles, and Westminster Abbey: Architecture.

The goal is to be able to recognize the type of balance shown in each of the examples. The student will also be prompted to respond as to why the art exemplifies each. This sheet can serve as a formative assessment for the art educator.
