This is an intro Powerpoint for a very simple, affordable, awesome mask-making assignment we do with the grade 9's
This also works well in a drama class - goes really well before a voice, tableau, or mime assignment).
They're also CHEAP to make - which is a bonus!
-cardboard or bristol board for the template
-masking tape (lots of it)
-plasticine (can cut this step out if you're on a budget, and just use more tape)
-plaster bandages (this step can also be done cheaper with just decoupage OR skip this step completely)
-paint + whatever other materials you want to decorate
It's a super flexible project, that can turn out awesome if you give them enough time for each step. I've even done it with younger grades, elementary school-level, and they could handle it.
The Powerpoint explains the process of how to make it, and has images to inspire the students.
